Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amโ€“6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (806) 785-9882. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is scottscarcare.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 272 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

The fuel pump went out in my car. We took it in. They had it back to the same day. Great. Three days later, fuel pressure sensor went out. Took it back again this morning. Got it back this afternoon. Now, same day, and I'm stranded at Circle K at 11:45 pm, trying to get to my midnight shift. VERY DISAPPOINTED! VERY ANGRY. OUT $1280.00 already and this is the only vehicle we have.

After changing my plugs my accidently messed up a ground wire but couldn't trace it. So I replaced everything along what the code read what could be the problem. Aps,knock sensor, throttle body. Then told me to put another throttle body still nothing. Then told me it was the ecm and I should order it. I order it and it was close to $300 so I then took my pickup and new computer and they didn't want to fix it. So I went to Proctor on 34th and Indiana where they fixed to ground wire. They advertise that they would not tell you to put something on your vehicle that's not needed. I'm here to tell you that's not true at all. I still have the computer that they told me to buy but wouldn't honor what they said. So I'm tired of seeing that commercial of lies.

We live out of state, and our daughter attends Texas Tech. Last December, she had an issue with her car, and this shop was amazingโ€”they diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in just one day. Fast forward to this week: her check engine light came on again, and when she took it back, they honored the warranty and repaired the part at no cost. Itโ€™s such a relief to have a repair shop we can trust to take care of our daughterโ€™s car when weโ€™re not nearby. Highly recommend!

I donโ€™t normally leave reviews, but I feel like people should know what theyโ€™re walking into here. I paid over $700 to have my car diagnosed and repaired at Scottโ€™s Complete Auto Careโ€”and in the end, nothing was fixed. After keeping my vehicle and charging me for the work, they ultimately told me I needed to take it to the dealership because they couldnโ€™t resolve the issue. If they knew it was beyond their scope, that shouldโ€™ve been communicated before charging me hundreds of dollars. I left feeling like I paid a steep price just to be told they couldnโ€™t help. No real solutions, no refund, no ownership of the outcome. Extremely frustrating experience. I expected better and wonโ€™t be returning.
